Title VI and ADA

Title VI and Nondiscrimination Commitment:

Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related laws and regulation, Madison County will not exclude from participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination anyone on the grounds of race, color and national origin.


Equal Employment Opportunity:

Complaint Procedures:

Madison County has established a discrimination complaint procedure and will take prompt and reasonable action to investigate and eliminate discrimination when found. Any person that believes that he or she has been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with Madison County. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with the Madison County Title VI/ADA Coordinator within ninety (90) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.  For more information, please contact the Madison County's Title VI/ADA Coordinator.


ADA/504 Statement:

Pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and related federal and state laws and regulation, Madison County will make every effort to ensure that it's facilities, programs, services, and activities are accessible to those with disabilities. It is the policy of Madison County that all public meetings and events comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and are accessible to people with disabilities. Individuals with disabilities, as defined under the ADA, who may need auxiliary aids, services, or special modifications to participate in a public meeting or event should contact the office of the Madison County Title VI/ADA Coordinator 765-641-9478 as soon as possible, but no Jess than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled meeting or event. Services are provided free without charge for individuals with special needs with disabilities.
