Coroner's Office

Madison County Coroner’s Office whose principal duty is to inquire by an inquest into the cause of any death which there is reason to suppose is not due to natural causes.

Other duties consist of but are not limited to:

• consoles families

• advocates for the deceased

• gives information to police and courts to prosecute suspected criminals.
