To file deductions online you must have your parcel number. This can be found on the Treasurer's website or on the Assessor's website (see above).

Please click on the qualifying deduction to file it online.

ATTENTION: It is very important to add your email address on the form before you submit.

Completed and signed property deductions forms can be mailed to the Auditor’s Office at 16 East 9th Street, Anderson, IN  46016 or emailed mousley@madisoncounty.in.gov and tstafford@madisoncounty.in.gov

  • Indiana Driver’s License

  • Last 5 digits of Social Security number

  • As well as the same information for your spouse regardless of how you took title. Individuals and married couples are limited to one homestead standard deduction per homestead laws (Indiana Code (IC) 6-1.1-12-31 and 6-1.1-20.9)

  • Copy of Recorded Mortgage / Contract

  • Income tax return or 1099 from Social Security

  • Proof of blindness or disability (letter from a Physician or Award Letter from Social Security Office

  • The individual's income cannot exceed $17,000 and proof of income is required (1099 or 1040)

  • Certificate of Eligibility from the Veteran’s Administration Office (765-641-9651)
